Muir-Cox Shipyard

The Muir-Cox Shipyard was first established in the 1820's by the Muir Family, but changed hands several times over the years until 1946, when it was acquired by Harley Cox and Sons, son of maser builder William J. Cox Jr. During its later years the shipyard primarily produced small fishing crafts. The shipyard consists of three buildings which are currently being developed as a museum to display Shelburne's shipyard heritage.
