Sandy Point Lighthouse
The Sandy Point Lighthouse sits at the mouth of the harbour welcoming sailors to Shelburne, but also for warning them away from the rocks when it is foggy. At low tide it is possible to walk across the sandbar to the lighthouse, although it is not permitted to go inside. The Sandy Point Lighthouse Centre was built out at this site on the Sandy Point Road during the past few years. This is a wonderful place to pack a picnic and spend the day.
