Harding House
This commodious Italinate two and a half storey wooden house was built c. 1884. The medium pitch gable roof has projecting eaves, return eaves and verges supported by decorative brackets. Wide moulded trim top the large corner boards . There are two sets of two storey, rectangular bay windows. This home was once owned by James Havelock Harding, one of Shelburne's Master Shipbuilders. Today this home is painted in traditional Victorian style, called a Painted Lady, as the Victorians painted their magnificent homes between 5 and 13 colours.
