McLean-McDonough House
This New England Colonial home, built pre-1785, has a moderately pitched roof with little overhang and short return boards. There is a five bay facade and a small enclosed portico. The house sits on a granite block foundation, like most Loyalist homes in Shelburne. This was once used as a tavern and place of business by Patrick McDonough. Over the years, this building changed greatly, but was restored in 1977 by Philip and Elinor Walker to its original appearance.
